They’re asking that Tumblr’s editorial director “TOP HER” Chris change his user name to something that isn’t potentially damaging to female Tumblr users. Please spread the word by re-blogging and SIGNING THE PETITION. Here’s the full text of the petition:  The women of Tumblr have been silent for too long. It is DEPLORABLE that one of Tumblr’s top-ranking employees goes by “TOP HER” Chris. The name has multiple violent sexual and sexist implications. The world of short form social networking is growing and needs to be a place for equality and open sharing, not a place run by misogynists hell bent on stripping women of their God-given right to post funny cat pictures or images of the northern lights using a long exposure time. We can’t have our place to blog where we’re blogging while someone like “TOP HER” blogs his demeaning filth on his blog. We will not just DEAL WITH IT! “TOP HER” must realize that this is the 21st century, not some backward Mad Men-era social microblogging platform. Demand that he change! Let’s take back our space and demand respect! We urge you to contact TOP HER directly by suggesting alternate user names. Please sign the petition and end this bigotry! Topple TOP HER! The man must be stopped.
