Darkness until the Empire. I took this photo while walking around the Dark City south of 34th street in Manhattan around 9p last night. What started off as a really unnerving experience, slowly morphed into a wonderful and almost serene experience. I recommend that everyone (safely) find the time to explore the darkness before the power comes back on at 11p tomorrow evening. Go in groups and you will definitely need a flashlight. Also, the shuttles are much less packed in the later part of the evening if you don’t want to walk a bridge both ways.
